After I bought my Roadster in 2000 I attended numerous BMW rallies. Then I started to question my decison to buy a new BMW. Don't get me wrong, I love my Roadster and it does everything I ask of it. But, I was always drooling over 80's bikes.
So, instead of having to chose I decided why not both! My love of older BMWs includes the R90S, the R100RS and the K1 but those bikes were way out of my price range. So I narrowed my search down to three monolever bikes of the 80's - the K75C, the R80ST and the R65. After much searching I found this very clean 1987 R65. At 17 years old it is now my new BMW.
